Well, Hadit, you're the only one that got the point of my post. Thank you. I don't know anything about Warren Buffet and his family . And I don't want to know anything about his family. I just liked his quote and I feel that that was missing in my life to a great extent. It was certainly not taught in the cult that I was brought up in.
I thought maybe some of you could relate to that feeling also.

This is what we are all missing, those of us that were raised in this cult. This is what is missing from our lives. And it's hard to replace that when you never got it in childhood. We were robbed.

Part of our anger is that we were taught to suppress so much of ourselves. Anger is a natural reaction to oppression.

a brother i spoke with from bethel to me seemed discouraged and lacking zeal latley...he spoke of leaving which shocked me since he was there for decades...he left to get a full time job!!!
it was his whole reason for living since i've known him!
others have said the new doctrine of "blended generations" of anionted seeing armagedon is "confusing" or "i just don't get it"...one brother my only close friend is furious and said i qoute..."they seem to be blowing smoke up our ass!

how come pain the middle of the night is always more scary than during the daytime?
i was woke up from a hydrocodone sleep, with pain in my very upper abdomen and middle back.
it feels like i'm just pumped full of gas and tightness and pain.
My guess would be gall bladder. I recommend you go to a doctor. It may need to come out ASAP.
i am seriously considering going to the dc here in adelaide.. i want to hear first hand stuff i have only read about, i want to see how it feels to be a fly on the wall.. i want to record the program and get the new releases.. i want to hear what my kids are made to hear.. any suggestions?

I can understand your desire to go out of curiosity now that you are totally deprogrammed. But do not take your kids. That would confuse them even more.

i just finished all 3 days of the dc and, for what it's worth, wanted to get down some of the highlights i enjoyed.
i went with family and i only did it for them, and hope to never attend another assembly ever again.. .
the whole thing was pretty boring and uncomfortable due to the stadium style seating which doesn't favour my long legs and ac being blasted too high.. .

considering the fact we've had so many newbies here i thought it would be good to just open it up to you folks to see how life is going for you since you exited the witnesses ?
it's hard many times to move on- however with lots of ex-witnesses on the board here who have been through similar experiences - perhaps those of us who have been out awhile can give you someideas on how to move on in your post jw life to make it a little easier .
so fire away newbies and recently exited jw 's.
I agree with cognizant dissident. There is so much damage being done to kids in this cult. Their sponge-like brains are absorbing everything coming from the platform. Do NOT think that they're not being hurt. I know. I was one of those kids.

Outlaw is right. You can channel the anger in more positive directions but I think I will always have some. In my case, so many unresolved questions I have with people that are now deceased. I just have to live with it.
